Friedrich Wilderness Park is a city-run park in San Antonio's far northwest with roughly ten miles of footpaths of varying difficulty. Access is for pedestrians only: no bikes, scooters or dogs. That keeps the trails quiet for hikers and trail runners looking for a natural setting inside the city. The paths turn muddy when wet, and the city closes them until they dry, so check conditions after rain.

Rides, runs & races nearby

Routes and trail info are for planning only and may be out of date. Conditions change fast after rain. Never cross a low-water crossing with water flowing over it. Ride and run only where it's public and allowed; respect closed gates, private property and park rules. A line on a map is not permission to be somewhere. You go at your own risk. Spotted a problem?
